Christina; this post was so thoughtful (bravo!).

It resonated with me when you wrote “I’ve noticed that when my shopping is emotionally triggered (eg: the feeling that I have nothing to wear) it doesn’t always yield the best purchase decisions.”

Rene Girard said that our desires revel the things we think we lack. I believe he is speaking in more of an existential “lack” but nonetheless when we shop from a place of lacking we are always bound to regret it.

Love this post! And I’ve been eyeing those BR chinos - think I need to go to the store to do a try on, I haven’t bought BR in probably a decade, but their recent stuff looks so good! Your styling ideas are great!!

Thanks for the ideas Christina! I am not a fan of the weather but in some ways I want winter to continue for a bit because I have so many outfit ideas! Btw, I think you’re in Boston too? Did you see they are opening a La Ligne on Newbury St? Just walked but the storefront this week (it’s still under construction).
