How much getting dressed for work has changed, and an inside look into what I've been wearing to my office (with an absolutely no inappropriate neck or hemlines guarantee!)
I loved this post so much. You influenced me to buy the Donni pants which look amazing on me. Work pants never fit me! I also bought the Spanx ones, fingers crossed. And the Gaspard cardigan looks incredible. I’d love more work posts. And ideas for going out outfits!
Katherine! Thank you! I’m glad you love the Donni pants they are really just so amazing! Fingers crossed for the Spanx ones. I will definitely be writing more about work outfits (and going out too!) I’m so glad it resonated!!
Love! Thank you for this. Also love your friend Meighan’s Substack. Quick question on the Sezane Gaspard - did you buy a medium or small? I just got that sweater in a medium (which is my normal size), but wondering if I should have sized down? I still love it, it’s just a little more oversized than yours looks. I’ll probably buy another color since I love it so much, so debating the sizing options next time!
I have a medium, and I think I went through the exact same thought process as you are. I wear it tucked in a lot, which helps & I'm happy with the sizing. I would probably take a small if I order another color to have one with a slightly smaller fit!
Thanks! I haven’t worn mine layered over another button down yet. It’s nice that the medium allows a little more flexibility with layering. I was also inspired by @thenewyorkstylist to wear in backwards, and I loved that!
I'm petite 5'1 and sadly the Donni pants are too long for me. BUT I just ordered the Gap kick flares and I'm OBSESSED!!! Might be an option for all of us petite gals, It's also 40% off right now so I got them for pennies.
not me waking up to this and almost CRYING 😂 I loved this so much and always get so much inspo from your outfits. I feel like we have similar work environments so that always helps - but my favorite part of this was you talking about how you wear these pieces outside of work! I think that’s the most important thing about getting older - you can’t have 2 completely separate wardrobes anymore (like I did when I was 23) and making pieces work on the weekends is key to getting the most value out of them !!! So many great takeaways, one being I think I need those cords, what a great find ♥️♥️♥️
I needed this post (and the other Substack recs). My go-to outfit is #4. I'd be happy to wear a black shirt, the same black pants, and my Rothy's daily. It works.
