This is so helpful, thank you so much for the detail! Question: I also have the Yoyo (Traveling for the first time with it and my 13 month old!) and it seems like it is permanently pretty reclined compared to our regular stroller. Have you figured out any work around for that?

You’re right it is a little reclined. We use it as upright as it goes and I think it was strange at first but we got used to it and now I barely register that!

In awe of you making it sound much easier than I am sure it is 🫡 and looking chic while doing it!!!! Also I love the upfront admittance of “traveling with kids it not the same as traveling without” - sometimes we just need the hard truth before we get into how to make it better

Great breakdown! My kids are college aged, but it was still fun to read. My kids occasionally reminisce about one particular DVD that lived in my son's travel backpack (just a cheap backpack vs a sturdier school backpack) that they only watched on plane trips, on a portable DVD player that I carried with me.

My only adds would be that I packed surprise food treats as well regular snacks in the kids' backpacks, so I didn't have to rummage around in the large reusable shopping bag (put above in place of my carryon) full of snacks that I always bring. Basically, enough for the plane and first few days so I don't have to worry about hitting a store if we get busy off the bat. Also, packing a few reusable shopping bags to keep in the rental car, because so many areas are charging for bags now (and who thinks to check that?)

Yes!!! Surprise food is SUCH a good tip and you’re right that it should be at arms length for the plane right!! I’m definitely taking your tip to bring shopping bags, that’s brilliant!!!

I only have one kid but he's done a few international flights under 2. Some things I recommend -- change of shirt and underwear for me (big lap babies make me sweaty), airport soft soccer ball, afrin and ibuprofen for me, bring a grandparent if possible, download Mamava and find a nursing room even if it's mostly to chill in a quiet space (don't abuse obviously), mini toddler backpack, remember hotel beds can be moved.
