So much inspo here. Business casual is usually my work-vibe in my “what I wore” series. Us teachers like to look good but also functional and comfortable!
I love so much of what you have here. I also agree— skirts are VERY underrated.
Christina this is great! I love how the styling tips the most. Summer dressing is hard but it can be kind of fun - I think the season allows for a little more creativity. I like to give myself rules like either a collar or a third piece, always wear a belt, closed toed shoes only. Then I can repurpose things in a different way than I’d wear during the other 3 seasons while still adhering to a general office appropriate style.
Side note- my least favorite thing about summer office wear is the increased frequency of dry cleaning. Typically I can rewear a piece 3-4 times with appropriate febreeze/steaming, but summer sweat is unforgiving. (Also lightweight breathable fabrics tend to need more ironing/steaming and who has the time!)
Thank you for reading!!! Agree with you on the rules- I am also team closed toed shoes in the office!! And yes, it’s nice to have things that feel multi-season and not like you’ll wear just for a few months a year!
You’re speaking my language, Christina! Your experience marries mine almost exactly, and I have been enjoying the challenge of dressing again for the office in creative and functional ways after quite a few years of hybrid. But I’m also surprised at how many more looks/ideas I need for even 1 extra day in the office per week! Your outfits are so great - agree 100% on skirts as the secret sauce, and I love the short sleeve cardigan and Buck Mason linen pants! Thanks for the shoutout!
This is really helpful and feels so achievable at a lot of levels/price points, thank you
Thank you for reading, Brandy! So glad you found it helpful!!
So much of this makes for an easy transition into fall too!
1000%!! Will be wearing these through September and then make some minor adjustments as the weather starts to change!!!
Love this! Would love to see more of the outfits you wear to the office like an outfit diary!
Thanks for reading! definitely! I am happy to share more!!
