I hope you are reading this with a cup of coffee (or, maybe a cocktail?) while enjoying a fabulous and relaxing long weekend.
We stayed local for the 4th of July. Sometimes I get a little sad when we don’t have big plans for a holiday weekend like this (iso: friend/neighbor/parent with a fab summer house + room for 5!), but when I woke up in my own bed (read: when my children all slept well in their own beds!) the morning of July 4th, I was reminded that I am actually very happy to be home. As much as a weekend galivanting off to a picturesque destination is something I’ll always wish I was doing, it’s a lot of work & typically very tiring, (she says as she prepares to go away for 2 weeks — trust me when I tell you that I will be VERY TIRED for that whole time).
Since it’s a holiday weekend in the good old US of A, it can only mean one thing - SALES. There are a few good ones, and because I simply cannot help myself (what else would I do during those precious naptime hours???) I have browsed many of them & since I (again) cannot help myself, I am going to share some of the most interesting finds with you. This isn’t an exhaustive list by any means - as a reminder, most, if not all of these brands/stores will have discounts throughout July, August & well into September - we’re entering seasonal changeover even though I am just getting into my summer dressing groove. But, if you are perhaps in the market for a gap in your wardrobe, then this might be a good opportunity to scoop it up.
Finding something that you love and want and are going to wear for years to come at a great discount is an amazing feeling. Wasting money (even if it’s less money that you would spend if paying full price) on something you are never going to wear is one of the worst feelings. I like to give a little soapbox speech at every major sale event - you can find the full rundown here, but this is the gist: Be smart. Decide what you’re shopping for & set a budget ahead of time. Think critically about whether or not you are actually going to wear something (and be honest with yourself). Does it fit into your life? Have you been thinking about the piece (or something like it) for awhile, or is this a passing impulse? Nothing against impulse purchases - they can be great, but it can also lead to buying stuff you’re never going to wear. It might feel like everyone is shopping, but that’s not true!
Also - as a reminder, because there is always a lot of finger pointing and eye rolling at influencers and people who talk about fashion, and style, and clothes - which does frequently include recommending or sharing specific products — remember that you hold your own purse string and you get to decide what you do (or don’t) spend your money on!
Kule is offering a big sale on a selection of pieces. I think this sale is particularly excellent - the discounts are generous and lots of products are included (and the brand doesn’t offer many sales!). The blue & white section is particularly compelling (adore this). A great easy dress. I’m really considering this sweater (this colorway too). Love this tank and matching shorts. I put all my picks here because I added multiple things to my cart to think about when browsing through this one.
Aligne is a small London-based brand that I love. No code needed for a large selection of items on sale. I really love this knit vest and these wide-leg jeans. This jacket would be great for early fall!
Farm Rio is 30% off sitewide. Great if you have an event coming up that you’re shopping for! This Romper is so fun. I love this dress. Major Johanna Ortiz vibes! Brides!!!
Sarah Flint makes beautiful and insanely comfortable shoes and is offering 30% off sitewide with code REDHOT. The Natalie flats are amazing - I wear the slingback pair for any work event when I need to be on my feet for a long time.
Sephora has a number of promotions that will be running over the next week or so - up to 25% off a selection of brands. This undereye concealer is fabulous, and just $20! If you’re reading this on the 5th, Sunday Riley products are 25% off (I have used this for probably 8 years and I love it!)
Net A Porter - is offering an extra 15% off their sale selection (use code EXTRA15). This dress would be an easy go-to for so many occasions. If you take an XL, you’re in luck. Romper lovers, this is for you. Really love this poplin midi dress (would be especially great if you are postpartum!)
J.Crew - is basically always having a sale, but there are a few really good things I noticed that are included with their 60% off . I ordered this for myself. I love this bathing suit. This top is so good - would be perfect with shorts, skirts, trousers. I love this easy top too. Final sale, but I have and love this slip dress. A great simple sandal!
That’s it for today! Don’t forget to enjoy the holiday weekend. More sales are coming!!!

Thanks for the head’s up on the KULE sale! I tend to avoid sales unless the discount is 30% or higher. I was bummed at how insignificant the Alex Mill sale was this summer - theirs is one I specifically look forward to!
